Kilkenny Musical Society recently completed the audition process for their 2011 production of “The Hired Man” and the Society is now gearing up for a hectic three month preparation period starting with the first rehearsal on Thursday January 6, at O’Faolains, John St.

The great, the good and the ordinary people of Galway packed into GMIT’s largest lecture theatre last Friday to take the first steps in collective planning for the future of Galway.

Organised by the Galway 2040 Initiative it is led by Paul Shelly and Rory O’Connor, Jim Fennell (GMIT & Marine Institute), Professor Kevin Leyden (NUIG CISC) and Michael Coyle (Galway Chamber).
